New Year Resolutions

My friends and I kinda made a few new year resolutions but as I thought more about it, it’s kinda hard to change over night. Will we be able to fulfill everything we said we would be? For one we said we will not hang out at malls so much but……..I already miss hanging out at midvalley. How will I be able to survive?

Anyway, next year I will not be able to earn so much money anymore. I’m cutting down on my working days. That means less money to spend and more time to lepak, i mean, study. Anyway, I wanna study hard and do better for this semester. I know there are super a lot of things waiting for me to do so I will try my best to not procrastinate. From tomorrow onwards I shall no longer be a procrastinator.

I shall not sleep so late anymore. I will not stay up late to chat with my seniors and play the piano with them till 4am. I shall not sit at the IS and tell stories and laugh. I will not go for supper with Grace anymore. hehehe….

First day of 2nd sem on the 26th

Oh, so I had my first day today. It was so cool. yeah right! Ok, for the first time I wasn’t late! I woke up just on time, took my bath and left for the land of the nerds….Yeah, the university.

It took me only 10 minutes to reach uni. Why didn’t I move out of college? Sigh, now I’ve gotta stay another semester in that…that….that…. building. Sigh…. Well, I’ve gotta think positive. It’s my new year resolution. hehe. So, I kinda love classes so far because they haven’t started teaching anything.

The first class we had today was Asas PJK. It’s a compulsory subject and we’ve got to learn about fitness, exercise, their importance and we’ve got to play some sports too. Some of my coursemates actually never imagined that they would have to do sports. But it’s cool. This semester we’re gonna play volleyball. At least it’s a familiar sport. During the whole lesson this morning I was telling SzeSze how much I didn’t want hockey. And true enough, we’re not doing it. Whee… The lecturer seems to be quite fun too. Because it’s a compulsory subject, many have to take it in order that they may be able to graduate one day. So he made it interesting for us. He said we should take this class as a lesson to lose weight. We’ll be playing sports and learning stuff and all. He said that by the end of the semester, our goal is to achieve a good fitness level. How interesting.
Anyway, the beginning of second sem marks the beginning of the stress period. Assignments….I can bear to imagine.

Soon, I’ll be like this…..

My Christmas

My Christmas is about Jesus

How Jesus gave His life for me

Came to earth to die for me

So that I can be a child of His.

I know I’m not perfect in many ways

I know I disappoint God like most of the time

But still God says He’s there for me

Through thick or thin, and day or night.

Rain or shine He’ll never leave

This wandering lost child of His

I will never be perfect

Clean, pure as snow

But Jesus who IS perfect

Came to rescue my soul

uih ba’ taga. uih ba’ tagap.

hehehe….Ok, Grace is also ba’ taga and ba’ tagap. hehehhehe

Satisfied Grace???

Anyway, that’s in Lun Bawang.

So I actually went for ‘Drunk before Dawn’ the musical at SIB. Funny how I ended up there. Grace that Lun Bawang chica told me about that play long ago and she tried persuading me to go. But I heard the tickets costs money. So I told her I’m not interested. That woman didn’t tell me the play was actually about her roots. I mean, if I knew it was about the Lun Bawangs I would buy a few tickets and get people to go with me. Only at the end of the play I got to know it was about them. Oh well, glad I went.

So how did I ended up there? Thanks to Kenneth and gang I guess. Pastor Steven had three extra tickets and he was trying to get the guys to go but they didn’t wanna go. When Amanda found out, she was overjoyed. She really wanted to go but she thought the tickets sold out. But the problem was, we were actually supposed to go Christmas shopping. Anyway, I decided to go for the play since she was so into it. What an irony. I told Grace I wouldn’t be interested in it and I ended up going. haha.

So after youth meeting before the play, we had some time to kill. So we went to Ikea. Both of us being so indecisive took us ages to decide what to eat. After dinner, we walked Ikea. That Amanda didn’t wanna leave Ikea and I had to force her. We were almost late for the play. So we entered the parking lot and it took us some time to find a parking space. The parking lot was empty but they were reserved. When we finally found a spot, we rushed up the elevator. Sadly, we ended up at the wrong building. So we actually walked all the way to SIB from one of the buildings in Phileo Damansara. We made it just in time before the play started.

The musical was really good and touching. Hehe. Grace is so proud of it.

Oh well, when everything ended, we journeyed to look for the car. We followed Ps Steven, Ps Timothy, Tab and all to pay their parking fee. It was a long queue so we left to look for Amanda’s car. We walked to the same building we came from and took the lift down. There were three floors but we forgot where we parked. So we looked at every floor starting from the lowest. The lift reached level B3 but the door in front of us didn’t open. Suddenly, I heard a sound from behind. We got a little scared. Guess what? It was actually the door behind us that opened. The whole place was quiet and freaky lah. The both of us checked each floor and finally we found it at B1. We were happy! Then we had to look for the machine to pay our parking. Guess what I saw opposite Amanda’s car? The machine to pay the parking fees that Ps Steven and all were queuing at. We actually parked in front of SIB but we didn’t know it. All because we took the wrong way up.

So the lesson is, next time, remember the number of the parking lot and the level where you park your car. It might come in handy.

Christmas dinner

Today my parents’ had their cell group Christmas party. It’s during these annual parties that I get to see how much I’ve grown after all these years. I used to be that kid playing around in the house, taking pictures and getting gifts. This year, not only was I not qualified to get the presents and gift packs, but my youngest sister also wasn’t. Haha. Can you imagine that? During the kids’ photo session, we were not included too. The kids I saw when I was the teenager are teenagers themselves now. But it’s good lah. Most of them are very nice. We had lots of singing and all. Oh, not forgetting, food. heheh. had fun. Oh, today is also Amanda’s baptism. Was glad I went all the way to church to see her. Congrats Amanda and Ashley!!!

Register! Register!

I got a call at about 9am from Sze Sze. “So what kumpulan are you choosing for PJK?” she said. I was like, what?? I’m still sleeping lah. “You not registering ah?” she said. I was thinking, what’s the hurry man. Initially, I was thinking I’ll register late. But since everyone was doing it, I decided to join the fun. hehe. So I woke up and registered my subjects for the next semester online. It was quite cool chatting with both Grace and Sze Sze online. Miss them so much.

Okay, so unlike our friends from the other courses, we didn’t have to choose our subjects and plan our timetable so that our classes and exam dates won’t clash and all. We didn’t have to register super early like right on the dot at 9.00am today. So why did I register so early? Haha. All we could choose was actually the group. Because there are too many of us in the class, we have two groups. So I am a person afraid of going to a class with no friends, decided to choose the same group as them. So we were online early debating which group to choose. hehehhe….

But thank God that my subjects are fixed so no worries and no hassle. So cool. Anyway, for our literature component, we had to choose between prose1 and prose2. Yup, that’s the only subject we had a choice to choose. I feel kinda bad because I know what I’m good at. And I’m pretty sure I’ll like prose2. It’s contemporary literature and I like learning the settings, characterisation, themes, plots and all. But Grace said prose 1 is easier. They will be learning different things. Oh, I really hope the both of them will do well in prose2. If not I’ll feel bad. After all, I wanted prose2. Sigh….

Anyway, my timetable for next sem is kinda packed. Like one class after another. But no classes on Friday. So I guess it’s worth it. I don’t know lah. My classes end so late everyday. It means that I’ll be going for work late. And there’s no time for shopping. I really want to move out of college. Please pray that it’ll be approved. Sigh….
