Not enough time

I thought it’s only during exam period that I don’t have enough time. Little did I know that during holidays I can also experience the lack of time. I’ve got quite a number of things to do but I don’t have if I can finish them. Well, at least this time, it’s not that stressful.

I’ve been going shopping everyday with my grandmother. And I still have my work at Kumon. Sometimes it’s quite tiring to do so many things in a day. Yet it feels good to earn money.

Then when I get home at night, I play with neopets. Hehe. it’s quite addictive (at least to me).

Oh and I thank and praise God for giving me such wonderful exam results. It was so much better than I expected and I couldn’t ask for more. God is still so gracious and full of mercy.

Two Old Ladies

As you might know, my mum’s mum lives with us. Now there are two old ladies in my house. No, not my mum and her mum. My other grandma has come back for a visit all the way from the land down under. So me, being their eldest grandchild, has to work hard to keep the peace and harmony in the house. It has been an hour and things are looking clean, calm and under control. I have 35 days to go. I sure hope no explosion in the house will happen.

Oh, did I mention that there are lotsa yummy chocolates in my house now?

Lion Tamer

A man told the ringmaster that he was interested in joining the circus as a lion tamer. The ringmaster asked if he had any experience and the man said, “Why, yes. My father was one of the most famous lion tamers in the world, and he taught me everything he knew.”

“Really?” said the ringmaster. “Did he teach you how to make a lion jump through a flaming hoop?”

“Yes he did,” the man replied.

“And did he teach you how to have six lions form a pyramid?”

“Yes he did,” the man replied.

“And have you ever stuck your head in a lion’s mouth?”

“Just once,” the man replied.

The ringmaster asked, “Why only once?”

And the man said, “I was looking for my father.”

2 Rach(s) and A-Man-da

So yesterday Amanda, Rachel Hua and I went for the wonderful My Fair Lady play at KLCC. It was awesome. So cool and entertaining. A wonderful story with some humorous parts in it. Worth the money. Moreover it made me so proud to be a user of an RHB account. Enjoyed 30% discounts for each ticket we bought. So cool.

Oh yeah, Amanda and I went by lrt. While we were walking towards KLCC from the LRT station, I heard two guys behind me talking. They were saying something like there’s only an hour before the show. So I had in mind that they were going for the same show too. Little did I know one of them was Chris Choong from PKV.
Anyway, in the play when Prof Higgins was commenting on how bad the pronunciation was among the people in the streets of London, it pop in my mind what if he were to see how Malaysians spoke English. He’d be horrified. Hahaha… All the drilling of vowels imposed by him onto Eliza just never fails to remind me of my students in Kumon. Of course, it’s not the same kind of drilling we do. But idea of teaching pronunciation. I myself am still a learner. But what is right pronunciation? Who do we follow? Prof Higgins?? hehe…. I dunno lah.

Anyhow, I loved the music and the orchestra.

Anyway, after the show, Rach Hua stayed over at my place. Can you believe that girl? She actually came all the way from Kuantan just for that play and she went back this afternoon. Haha…. But that poor girl had to endure listening to me go on and on with my stories the whole night. We almost couldn’t wake up this morning. But good thing we managed to. So we got to go to KLCC again and read books. I bought a book on fairy tales and I hope I’m not too old for them. Fairy tales are my all time favourite. Love them. I have this sudden urge to buy more books. And to think that I’m actually trying to save money…. Sigh….

Happy Birthday!

HaPpY BiRtHdAy BrEnDa & Yi ZhEnG!!!!!

Early this morning at 2am, Brenda and I wanted to cook Maggie Mee when we saw this huge cockroach. At first we thought, if it didn’t hurt us, we’ll just ignore it. But it did not stay still. It moved nearer and nearer us. But we weren’t really afraid. But suddenly, it flew towards us and we screamed! And we ran but nowhere to hide. Then after a while, it stopped. Then I ran to get the Ridsect spray (never really used it before). I sprayed and sprayed towards that cockroach but it still flew. Then my grandma woke up and was furious because of our screams and it was really smelly. We tried looking for that ugly thing but couldn’t find. Then while my grandma was scolding us, the cockroach dropped onto Brenda the Birthday Girl’s head. Haha… what a birthday surprise!
