Dry

You know, my eyes get dry easily. Sometimes it gets so dry that I cry. Tears just fall out of my eyes. Sometimes it happens at embarrassing moments because people don’t know why I’m crying. But once a few weeks ago, the pain in my eyes came when I was teaching. So I had a few students and you know, I teach one-to-one so sometimes some might have to wait for their turn if other students take a long time. So basically some days I have a LOT of children who sometimes can’t sit still. They will be talking, moving, climbing the chairs…. They are primary school kids! Oh well, there’s this particular boy who is very naughty and he just doesn’t listen. He tries to rebel against me all the time. Actually, he’s just mischievous. Then there’s this other girl who doesn’t stop asking questions. Sometimes when I’m so exhausted, I do scold her. But every week she still comes to my table and not my colleague’s. ANYWAY, back to the story of my dry eyes; one day I was teaching this boy, the girl kept asking me for answers for her worksheet and there were many students waiting for their turn, the pain came. It felt bitter and I just couldn’t open my eyes. Tears just overflowed. I quickly ran to the toilet to wash my eyes. I came out of the toilet and it hurt again so I ran back in. Then when I came out the second time, this boy and this girl were outside waiting for me. They had that concerned look. I was so touched. But I told them my eyes was dry. After that, they were both mischievous agaisn. Sigh, I should have just told them I cried because they were not obedient. haha.

Assignments

Sleep

Yesterday after coming back from an assignment group discussion, I sent my mum to 1 Utama and then packed McDs for dinner. After eating with my sisters, I fell asleep when I was watching the tv at 5pm. The next thing I knew was that it was 1.30am when I woke up to go to my room because I was actually sleeping in the hall. I lied on bed for an hour or two and then I fell asleep and woke at 9am. So I slept for about 14 hours! Wow…

Anyway, there’s a new rule in my faculty stating that we’ve gotta dress formally to class. At first they said we have to wear formal everyday but finally they decided to make us wear formal only on Mondays. BUT… there’s this other lecturer who wants us to wear collared shirt everyday! I don’t know where I’m gonna find so many….

Missing out

Many friends came back for holidays from studying overseas but I hardly met up with many of them. All because of my busy and hectic life. I hardly can find time to ‘lepak’/hang out. Life now has changed so much ever since I left secondary school. I followed my mum to pick my sister up from school today and I spent some time reminiscing of those good old days when I stayed back with friends to study in the library. Now, it’s really different and there are many responsibilities for me to assume. Tough. Mondays till Thursday there are classes back to back. Today in class I felt extremely hungry till I almost finished the whole packet of keropok (chips). Fortunately I wasn’t permitted to gobble it as I had to share with my other hungry coursemates. I seriously have got to find time to prepare food to bring to class if not it’ll be unhealthy chips for breakfast everyday!
